in the first semester we started playing around with metaphor in my illustration Core class. Below are a few illustrations that have some sort of metaphor that links to love.
a sixties babe wearing some Jackie-O style shades in the shape of the infinity sign (oh snap)
do you see a person wearing panties or some sort of fruity cocktail? i’ll tell you what i see… a metaphor. (sorry)
heart shaped chest-hair…basically just had to use an old photo of my pops for reference.
i’m currently working on a few things for the final week, including a t-shirt design and a large self-portrait, or as i like to call it “my #selfie.” Before i submit it i’ll make sure i get a good photo to post along with some other stuff from that class.
in my media and materials class we’re dipping into lino prints
i must say that i’m quite the hack when it comes to this, but it’s a flippin’ blast to fiddle around with. After i finish my assignment i intend on doing some personal prints and plan giving some away. I’ll keep ya’lls posted.
first print i did on the weekend, cut my thumb for this little turd
i did one of my adidas shoe that didn’t come out too well, and another of heart-shaped spectacles that……….didn’t come out too well
WHOA……..IT’S A DOUBLE LINO
(skull print)
in 3 weeks i’ll be off to italy for a month…………..i’m stoked.
i came across my sketch book from last year and found some pretty funny stuff, i wasn’t able to scan a lot of it but here’s a few pages i dedicated to my feelings towards homework
below is me slammin’ the skins to Rush (i didn’t mean for that to sound so dirty)
i also scanned some pages from my current sketchbook, because it is quite a trip comparing your old stuff to your current stuff
SHANE-ER
another Rush reference……….TO MOULD A NEW REALITY..CLOSER TO THE HEART
(is it spelt mold?)
During the first semester i was assigned to illustrate 4 images for a story about a spoiled fat kid from California, it was called “The Anteater” and it was by Roald Dahl.
Each image had to be a specific size, but you were able to work large then size ‘er down for final. As usual i failed to read the assignment sheet properly and managed to screw up in a number of areas. Fortunately i managed to fix those screw ups AND get an awesome mark!
Here are 3 of the 4 images i submitted (the fourth one is buried somewhere in my basement because it was my least favourite.)
this image is abouttt 8×6″ and was sized down to 4×4″
i don’t remember the size of this sucker, but check out the 1970′s kitchen decor!
this is something like 12×16″, and was sized down to 6×8″ , this is when the starving anteater is about to eat the spoiled fat kid’s aunt.
I scanned a crap-ton of stuff, which means more updates to come, #illustration #hashtag #chocolateglaze #3rdrockfromthesun #swag #netflix #brocrastination
wrappin’ up reading week, and i’ve been a lazy blob since it started…..it was so awesome.
i plan on scanning and posting up some work from the first and current semester, i swear.
but in the meantime i have some sad news…. my super-crazy-awesome-gnar-tacular workplace will be done-zo within the next week, due to renovations
here are a couple photos from my instafap

In my computers class were currently working on an animation based on a book or movie watched over the break, so i decided to pick a scene from this book
which is a story about a Canadian drug dealer who lives in Woodstock, NY and is a close friend of a few members of the Canadian music group The Band.
The Band recorded their most popular record “Music From Big Pink” at a house in Woodstock owned by Bob Dylan, who also painted the album cover
here’s a sketch of the background for my animation
